On Thursday at the bloggers party, I had the opportunity to interview a lovely lady called Svetlana Marshall. Svetlana is the owner and designer for Pautinka London. Click here to see a video featuring her 19 year old son on guitar:
Svetlana Marshall grew up in Belarus where she began designing jewellery and clothes during her teenage years. She later moved to Qatar where she met a model called Carol Browne who inspired her to create a line of chain jewellery; it became her first collection.
The word ‘Pautinka’ is the Russian word that means “like a spider’s web”, like a spider’s web, Svetlana’s designers have such detailed and exquisite intricacy that could make any woman look and feel beautiful and powerful. Similarly to me, Svetlana loves dance, she loves it so much that she teaches others how to dance, therefore she understands how clothing and jewellery move with the body when it moves. With this understanding and the ethos that the infinity chain protects and motivates women to become the best version of themselves, she launched out to create this beautiful and empowering collection.

This is what The Infinity Chain by Svetlana Marshall looks like and may I say it looks even better in person. Each piece allows the wearer to express themselves as creatively and uniquely as possible. ’ Pautinka London ’ has won the prestigious British Jewellers Association’s annual design competition and has recently exhibited at International Jewellery London ( IJL ) and at London Fashion Week (Fashions Finest). Svetlana now creates luxury designs in gold & silver as well as fashion jewellery.
Svetlana is the real deal and not only that she’s one of the most down to earth people I have met for quite a while. I wish her all of the success in the future and I hope you all come to see her coleection tnight at the Ashmoleon in the 9pm Oxford Fashion Week shows.

I am so excited for the Oxford Shows tomorrow, it’s going to be great!
When I arrived at the Jam Factory in Oxford, the room was
absolutely electric and the Bloggers preview was in the Boiler Room Gallery.
The Jam Factory itself is a hustling, bustling place of interesting culture
which completely embodied what Oxford Fashion Week is about.

Whilst I waited to go into the Preview, I faced a beautiful
painting of a field of purple flowers by Elena Henshaw, I was sat next to a
bunch of guys who were beer testing and I am pretty sure I heard French,
German, Polish and Italian with my first 4 seconds of being in the room. It was
a fabulous environment to be in.
I even ran into the lovely Natalie Woodward who looked
completely amazing as usual and she was sweet enough to sit down and do an
interview with me:

Interview with Natalie Woodward
What has been your favourite part of the Oxford Fashion
Studio Season so far?
Oh, That’s a big question, I think walking in Paris at Les
Salons Hoche, that was absolutely stunning, all of the collections were
exquisite, the venue was gorgeous, the makeup and hair looked really well
suited to all of the looks, so yeah, I think that is my favourite part.
Although saying that, Tomorrow’s talk with Clive Arrowsmith, I am so excited to
hear him speak.
What are you excited about for Oxford Fashion Week?
We are walking in the Ashmolean, which in itself is a gorgeous
venue, but to be in the sculpture gallery, I think it will be an absolutely
incredible backdrop, walking in between the sculptures, the audiences will be
sat in those sort of segments and I think that it’s going to be amazing. It
will be very exciting!

What’s your favourite part about being a model within Oxford
Fashion Week? (I asked as she saw herself in the Oxford Fashion Studio video
from Paris)
Sorry, I just saw me again, I think just the opportunity to
be walking for these new and up and coming designers, because I am a young
model myself so to be working with people that are also young in the industry
who have that passion and drive, It’s something that is really unique to the
oxford fashion studio company. So that’s my favourite part about it, and they
also have such incredibly young and fresh creations which is just really great
to see altogether.
I got to do so many lovely interviews with so many different
people which I will share with you all in due time.

This shot was taken last night at the Bloggers Preview Party at the Jam Factory by Julia Cleaver. She’s been in the photography industry for about 30 years but only took it seriously over the last fifteen, if I remember correctly. She’s caught me mid conversation with @makeupbykyriaki who’s an absolute sweetheart. You’ll be seeing a lot more of her work on Victoryforu
She’s such a great makeup artist who will be making the @OxfordFashionWk models look flawless. #VictoryforuFashion Victorious Everyday. (at The Jam Factory)

・・・Viral prom dress designer, Kyemah Mcentyre, @mindofkye_ made her red carpet debut last night at the BET Honors in a dress designed and painted by the 18-year old herself! Such an amazing talent, we can’t wait to see what the future has in store for Kye.
#BrillianceinBlack | Kyemah seems so fantastically dedicated to her art. She’s such a beautiful brilliant young black woman who’s work I truly admire. #VictoryforuFashion Victorious Everyday.
