NYFW has come to an end!
Just in case you missed the whole of New York Fashion Week this season, I am going to show you my favourite moments.
Starting with Colourful and optimistic designs from Desigual!
I enjoyed watching this show and I believe this is one of the most wearable collections. The individual pieces are all intricately made and the effort of the artistry is evident. I feel like Desigual is a staple fashion house and everyone should strive to have at least one piece from their brand.
Tadashi Shoji is up next. Having dressed Katy Perry, Octavia Spencer, Miranda Kerr and Michelle Obama, NYFW must be a breeze for the Japanese veteran designer. Bold sleeves, Sheer materials and Delicate details seem to be the main focus for this collection. Definitely for the powerful and confident woman.
This is not what they showcase this season at NYFW, however, Noon by Noor always create amazing pieces that are usually quite light and airy which may have something to do with being from Bahrain.
The Michael Costello show was one of my NYFW highlights. The Hair, The designs, The Insanely DIVERSE models! Amazing. Costello has dressed the likes of Beyonce, JLo and Lady Gaga, Graced the cover of NY times and People Magazine and has featured in Vogue, Vanity Fair and Elle so he has a lot of experienced studying the female form and knowing what works best.
Jeremy Scott created some amazing designs which I enjoyed, However there were a few pieces that looked odd with the whole collection.
But that’s Just my opinion!
The visual display at Cushnie et Ochs and juxtaposing themes were really amazing.
After both Zendaya and Beyonce wearing his brand, Romeo Hunte is on his way to being a household name like Dior, Prada or Gucci.
Another designer that I absolutely love is Marchesa. Love the cold shoulders on this dress.
Let’s just all take a moment to appreaciate Naeem Khan and his work! I am always in awe of what he creates.
And last, But by no means least, Prabal Gurung. One of the designers that I look up to. I hope he continues to use his platform for good.
And that is my NYFW round up!
I hope you have enjoyed it
