Tiffany Saunders is, firstly, an amazing woman and, secondly, an exceptional friend.
I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with her for a good few years now and I thought it would be time to ask her some questions.
She, along with Carl Anglim and the Oxford Fashion Studio team, is taking the fashion world by storm. The Model, Runway Director and all-around Superwoman is helping to change the game! She is a constant inspiration to me (Okay, I am just gushing again!) and this interview will prove her role model status!
What advice would you give to your younger self?
I would say to keep having fun, keep trying new things and do what you want – not just what friends do or even what you’re doing at a particular point in time.
What have been your biggest successes throughout your career?
Good question! For me, I would say I’m so proud to have the position I hold and I enjoyed my time as a model as well. I really love my job and I feel very lucky to be able to say that. I know of people who don’t enjoy what they do which is unnecessary. Doing something that makes you happy is accessible to everyone.
How have you maintained your successful career?
Well, I think it’s important to always make sure you strike the right balance between being ambitious, open-minded, creative and kind. Not being afraid to do things a little differently. At Oxford Fashion Studio we are an independent organisation and one of the reasons that’s such a good thing is that we set our own rules, create our own culture and are not bound by traditional ways of doing things. It’s up to us.
Who or what helped you along the way?
Without a doubt, I am where I am today because of what I have learned from the Oxford Fashion Studio Director, Carl Anglim. His ambition, drive and respect for his team and for our designers is an inspiration to me.
What obstacles have you faced along the way and how have you overcame them?
I would say the key to overcoming obstacles is to always keep a clear, open mind. You have to be flexible and solution-orientated.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out in your industry?
- Don’t be afraid to take on new challenges – follow your instincts
- Be prepared to work hard with a high level of energy and passion
- Always look to learn from others
What’s next for Oxford Fashion Studio?
We are just about to open 6 shows in Milan which is incredibly exciting!

Great interview. Tiffany and the team have done amazingly well but have put in so much hard work. It certainly shows when you see the outstanding quality of the run way productions!
