#DJGSOULFULHOUSEHUGS was a success! Lots of people left happy. I saw a few people I knew and loads I didn’t. For Example, I met a girl with blue hair and blue eyes to match, her and het friends were so kind to me whilst I was dancing. But as always, anytime you try to do good, someone wants to attack it. We got the odd complaint of “It’s too loud!” When my dad’s system was only at 2! I personally got sworn at by some rude 14 year old boys. But that’s rude 14 year old boys for you. But let’s not dwell on the negatives, today was so brilliant! I danced with a small elderly Italian lady twice, she came back for more đŸ˜‚ We met a beatboxer called Keion (who was amazing – Soulful House + Beat boxing = Majorly good) A young disabled girl who, with her mother’s help, got out of her wheelchair and danced. We also had a newlywed couple have their first dance. Sadly there are no photos of this. He was in a kilt and she had a big pretty meringue dress. Today has been a beautiful day of music, happiness and love! And also today I realised something, I may not be the best dancer in the world, I’m not the next @ashleybanjogram or @deante_law but I am driven and determined to get better. And I am me. I’m not trying to be anyone else anymore. And that makes me really happy. Thank you to all that came and supported.
