・・・Not everyone will understand your journey. That’s fine. It’s not their journey. It’s yours. 😊✈ | Deep inspiration from Mr Aleks Yankee. This is a brilliant outfit. I’d definitely wear the blue denim jacket: it’s bright and I’d work it into different look. #VictoryforuFashion #StyleSunday Be Victorious Everyday.

Last post – or should I say last rant – for #WomenswearWednesday
is about school results days. Mine, along with hundreds of thousands of AS and A level results are tomorrow and GCSE’s are a week tomorrow. I’m also here to say that putting yourself under so much pressure to do well will almost, kind of, always have have a negative affect on you. The attitude enforced by the government that “GCSE’s/A Levels determine the rest of your life.” Is the biggest lie I’ve EVER heard. (Okay, well one of them but what do you expect, they are politicians. We basically pay them to lie to us.) Putting yourself through worry and doubt the night before results day is the most pointless exercise there is. It won’t change anything. If you know that you worked your butt off with your coursework and with revision for your exams, then that work should, emphasis on should, be reflected in your results. If it isn’t what you think you deserve, you can always retake. Well you can as far as I know before some education secretary changes it again. Let me tell you an anecdote: My parents have had very different academic paths. My mum did quite well in education and became a teacher, teaching hairdressing. Ultimately becoming the head of hair and beauty at a college. My dad found school along harder. Along with all the racism he faced, he always tried his best. He became a fully qualified chef and, as he’s always had a love for music, became a DJ. And if I do say so myself, a very good one at that. So why did I tell you that? I believe that a real education is a mixture of academia, logic, vocation, experience, creativity and persistence and we are all better at one then others. All of which amount to having a full education. You could leave school with 3 A*’s at A level and still have no common sense of how to cook, clean and survive on your own. On the flip side, you could end up with no qualifications and still be a brilliant business man or woman, for example Lord Alan Sugar. So when you are opening your results, please remember it is not the be all and end all if you don’t get the exact grades you want, still hold your head up high and know you’ve tried your best. #VictoryforuFashion
