My favourite part of MFW so far : Dolce & Fabbana FW 17/18 Men’s show

So many amazing looks at last night’s Dolce show. I am in awe of the amazing artistry, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are true fashion legends and I commend them on choosing to work with the influencers who are shaping our digital generation. I will be showing you my favourite male looks below and telling you why this was such an innovative show.

The afterparty was also amazing as you can see by the visuals above!

Personally, Jim Chapman's look was my favourite. Why? It is so bright and so floral yet still so masculine. The co-ords could be worn separately or together. And the simple black jacket added the needed calm note to the look. By far my favourite!

From his Victorious days and playing King Tut, Avan Jogia has always had an air of regality. I love the kingly features of the jacket and the exquisite prints.

The man of the moment -Cameron Dallas - opened the show and wore the crown to end the show proving that he really is the digital king. His deep purple suit is both eccentric and simplistic perfect for a man who wants to be seen but not stared at.

The Mexican social genius. I am never usually a lover of the colour brown, however, this just works!

The owner of SMF-Blog - Elias El-Indari - has taken the middle east by storm with his Men's fashion and lifestyle blog. Elias look crazy sophisticated and this is definitely a look I'd wear in a heartbeat.

And last but never least, Lucky Blue Smith. The young veteran of the modelling industry completely dominated the runway in this monochrome suit that accentuated his signature hair.

Now there are so many other looks by Josh Cuthbert, YiLu Sheng, Marcus Butler, Neels Visser, Presley Gerber and many more that I loved but these are the ones I have chosen to show.

I hope you enjoyed watching it live and if you missed it, head to the top of the page to watch the video.

P.S. I hope that there has been a vast range showing all cultures and races show in the Dolce and Gabbana show. I was reminded about the importance of representation when I saw a post by Edward Zo a few days ago.

Yes. What #SteveHarvey said on his TV show about Asians is horrible, antiquated & untrue (for myself and maaaaany other ppl I know🙊) It's always that much more disappointing when regressive rhetoric comes from an otherwise very talented & charismatic individual. _ Am I surprised? No. People do & say what they think they know. Jokes are jokes, but when these false ideas are reinforced at the expense of a group that lacks a mainstream voice? Its overall impact is much more insidious. The reality is this: Asians (especially Asian males) are invisible in mainstream American culture. Of course people are going to have an extremely distorted view about us. Thankfully trends are shifting- hello new media globalization.🌏😌 _ This post may or may not be immediately relatable to you, but for perspective: everyone wants to be acknowledged, respected, heard & understood. That we can all understand. It doesn't matter what group you identify with, being understood is an innate human desire. This is why representation is important, to be represented is to be understood as a human being- maybe not completely – but at least that much more. _ In the end, the negative things people choose to do or say with their time is really just a grain of sand in the bigger scheme of things. The beauty of the digital age & new media is that we can manifest our own platform to create a positive voice, one that challenge old ideas. This is why I did the viral social experiment "Asian Guys VS White Girls" video on YouTube & why I continue to find innovative ways to break stereotypes & encourage progressive change. In the future I hope to continue to evolve my platform, but the overall message will still be the advancement of deeper human connections, positivity & understanding. _ If you've taken the time to read this far I just want to leave you with this gem: be proactive in your passions instead of wasting time sending hate to people who are willfully ignorant & who quite frankly don't know any better. There is more to be gained by being compassionate & empathetic than returning hate w/ hate- and that goes for life in general🙏❤ _ And yes I'm working on something really special for u guys🎬📚☺️🙊

Reading this shook me as I admire Steve Harvey. I researched it and it turned about to be true. What he said should not be tolerated. We need more education and representation for everyone to not judge someone based on their skin colour or how they look.

I want to dedicate this post to everyone who has ever been made to feel small or insignificant because of your gender, race or culture. I want to tell you that you are beautiful, God loves you and that you deserve to have a voice. God bless!
