ICYMI : Karlie Kloss

Karlie Kloss has had a busy week with travelling to St Louis, dropping her first capsule collection with Express and releasing application forms for her coding summer camp, Kode With Klossy!

Let’s Start off with her Collection Collaboration with Express!

Karlie Kloss X Express

Karlie and Express teamed up to create a collection that shows the elegance and versatility of the wardrobe essentials. This collection is inspired by its target audience, Real Girls.

17 mix and match pieces make up the whole collection which can create more than 100 looks, the collection reflects the beautiful optimism of Karlie and girls all around the world that dare to dream more.

All the hard work led up to the debut of the collection at a live runway show at The Pageant in Karlie’s hometown of St. Louis, Missouri on 30th March 2017.

So as you can see, It was pretty amazing!

The 15 Models used in the show were just ordinary women, a cancer survivor, a military service member, a fashion blogger, a computer engineer and coder and Karlie’s very own sister, Kimby Kloss.

The girls got to work with celebrity stylist (who has styled none other than Karlie) Karla Welch and creative movement consultant Steven Galloway.

The Pageant holds special meaning for Karlie as this is where her very first runway show happened 13 years ago.

After the show, they had hearty food and a performance by Charli XCX!

Kode With Klossy 2017

After taking the world by storm last year, Kode with Klossy is back to inspire another generation of girls to try coding.

“Before my first coding class, the idea that I could build something with code seemed nearly impossible, but after only a couple of courses, I was working with my classmates to program a small drone. I realized that, just like art and fashion, code is about creativity, and that women who have these skills have the power to shape our future – and often have. Women are essential in forging digital progress and knowing how to code is the key to exploring and creating the newest frontier.” – Karlie Kloss

So if you’re a girl and you’re interested in what coding has to offer or even if you just want to make some new friends, try Kode with Klossy. It may unlock your potential!

As you all know I love Karlie Kloss, I think she is amazing and upon finding out this information, I had to share it with you all!
