Paris Fashion Week Round-up

Hello all,

It’s been a little while since we have spoken so I thought it would be great to do another round-up.

Paris Fashion Week was an amazing way to end this vibrant, politically charged, creative, thought-provoking season.

On my Instagram, I have been posting about my Paris Fashion Week Favourites but for this Round-Up, Let’s just start from the beginning!

Lanvin provided a visual feast that was palatable for all. Nothing too shocking or too out-there but so beautiful and classy. Classy and debonaire clothing is what Lanvin seems to do best.

Paco Rabanne – Usually my favourite for fragrance – dominating Fashion week!

2013 was the year that Chainmail died… well when creative director Julien Dossena did it, he brought it back. With asymmetrical cuts, off the shoulders, mid-lengths and draped material, Dossena breathed new life into this once old fad. The whole collection had a cohesive fun yet sophisticated look running throughout.

Up next: BALMAIN

Olivier Rousteing did it again. I can’t wait to see this collection at Red Carpets as well.

With dark patterns and prints, this collection has quickly become one that cannot be forgotten. The striking shapes and animal prints resemble that of a warrior woman. This whole collection draws from the beautiful strength of women and I have to say it is one of my favourite Balmain Collections to date.

Mugler maintained his trademark Angel-Bottle Star shape throughout his various designs.

The concept of deconstrcuted constellations ran throughout the whole collection whether that was in print, structure or design.

Now to one of my favourite designers of all time (As I always reiterate) Elie Saab!

This collection deserves the name Poetry In Motion. The beautifully exquisite dark romantisist theme brings the whole collection together making it wearable for the highstreet but still the brilliant and beautiful couture vibe that we all know and Love from Elie Saab.

H&M Studio put on a brilliant show feature The Weeknd performing and releasing his new line with H&M.

A show all about love, with interesting shapes and colours on the runway. A very fun runway show to watch and I’ sure it would have been fun to take part in too!

And lastly, we will end with something truly interstellar, Chanel!

So many amazing details at this show and what better way to end a show than having a rocket launch?

And that’s my Paris Fashion Week Round-up, I hope you enjoyed reading it and for more head to my social to find out my absolute favourites.

Oxford Fashion Studio: Paris Collection Round-up

Oxford Fashion Studio’s runway shows have come to an end but the season was absolutely sensational with fabulous designers like Annie Chou, Prodigal Daughter and Nissreen Ghazy.

Let’s take a look back to some of the amazing designs that were presented in New York, London and most recently and more so in this blog post, Paris!

One of the first exclusive from the Paris Collections was an interesting and striking collection by Selma Cilek called Casual Diva.

This was exclusively shown earlier than any other show at 2:45pm and definitely turned heads with the attention to detail.

Kicking off the first show was Madame Mode!

The fabulous flared trend is definitely coming back this season so look out for it a lot more.

The emphasised collar is also very striking and appealing.

Such a fabulous dress from Nissreen Ghazy. Eygptian designer Ghazy creates amazing bridal pieces that any bride would feel like a princess in.

Oxford Fashion Studio truly took Paris by storm and completely stole the show.

The fashion show of the future. Alongside Dolce and Gabbana’s Millenials campaign, In Milan they had the same Millenials walk in the show. The outfits they wore were fabulous!

Balmain

Balmain is one of those shows that I always – without fail – anticipate. Olivier Rousteing always out does himself every season and this season is no exception.

There have been so many amazing moments that would take forever to write about them all.  So I decided to put them all in a Pinterest board for you to look at and admire them as much as I do.
