My Honest Review: Quick Fix Facials

I have been using Quick Fix Facials for about 2-3 months and I have to say I am very impressed. I have very problematic skin (As I have discussed on Victoryforu) so to find something that worked for my skin was extremely helpful.

These three are my personal favourites and are the ones that are almost finished – deffo need to reorder soon. I also love the Overnight Miracle Mask which smells divine!

Calming Clay Mask – I used this on my problematic areas around my mouth and nose which are the most sensitive.

Collagen Lift Mask – Perfect to use a night before a big event, this is actually what I used to get ready for the Oxford Fashion Studio shows in London.

Mega Moisture Mask – I used this over the problematic areas as well which helped to replenish the moisture lost after a long day.

As I have mentioned before, my skin is one of my biggest insecurities. To find something natural, cruelty-free and affordable that actually helps my skin to look better is so good. I highly recommend purchasing Quick Fix Facials especially if you’re a teen on a budget like me.

I also recommend multi-masking, especially if you have combination skin like me. My current situation is Exfoliating Scrub on my nose and forehead,  Collagen Lift on my cheeks, Anti-blemish Mud under my eyes and Mega Moisture everywhere else.

Is my skin perfect? Not by any means. But I have noticed a glow that wasn’t on my skin before. My biggest recommendation for using the Facials is finding an exfoliating sponge to open your pores before use and to wash it off after use. It really helped to produce a better result for me.

There isn’t a product in this range that I wouldn’t recommend. There is truly something for everyone! Make sure you check Quick Fix Facials out now. Free UK delivery when you spend over £10 and each Facial is £4.99… I don’t think I need to persuade you anymore 😂😂😂

Just go get it!

Paris Fashion Week Round-up

Hello all,

It’s been a little while since we have spoken so I thought it would be great to do another round-up.

Paris Fashion Week was an amazing way to end this vibrant, politically charged, creative, thought-provoking season.

On my Instagram, I have been posting about my Paris Fashion Week Favourites but for this Round-Up, Let’s just start from the beginning!

Lanvin provided a visual feast that was palatable for all. Nothing too shocking or too out-there but so beautiful and classy. Classy and debonaire clothing is what Lanvin seems to do best.

Paco Rabanne – Usually my favourite for fragrance – dominating Fashion week!

2013 was the year that Chainmail died… well when creative director Julien Dossena did it, he brought it back. With asymmetrical cuts, off the shoulders, mid-lengths and draped material, Dossena breathed new life into this once old fad. The whole collection had a cohesive fun yet sophisticated look running throughout.

Up next: BALMAIN

Olivier Rousteing did it again. I can’t wait to see this collection at Red Carpets as well.

With dark patterns and prints, this collection has quickly become one that cannot be forgotten. The striking shapes and animal prints resemble that of a warrior woman. This whole collection draws from the beautiful strength of women and I have to say it is one of my favourite Balmain Collections to date.

Mugler maintained his trademark Angel-Bottle Star shape throughout his various designs.

The concept of deconstrcuted constellations ran throughout the whole collection whether that was in print, structure or design.

Now to one of my favourite designers of all time (As I always reiterate) Elie Saab!

This collection deserves the name Poetry In Motion. The beautifully exquisite dark romantisist theme brings the whole collection together making it wearable for the highstreet but still the brilliant and beautiful couture vibe that we all know and Love from Elie Saab.

H&M Studio put on a brilliant show feature The Weeknd performing and releasing his new line with H&M.

A show all about love, with interesting shapes and colours on the runway. A very fun runway show to watch and I’ sure it would have been fun to take part in too!

And lastly, we will end with something truly interstellar, Chanel!

So many amazing details at this show and what better way to end a show than having a rocket launch?

And that’s my Paris Fashion Week Round-up, I hope you enjoyed reading it and for more head to my social to find out my absolute favourites.

Did you see the Dolce and Gabbana Fall-Winter 17/18 Men’s Show?

One of the most extraordinary shows I have seen live-streamed for a long time.

The DG Princes and Princesses rocked the house along with Austin Mahone.

Mahone’s voice was not the only thing that rocked the house, his Dolce suit was the start of a grand show.

Prince Cameron Dallas opened the show. The best part about the experience was the fact that each person was asked what they wanted to wear, not just instructed on what to wear.

The ladies shone just as brightly as the fellas did.

All of the looks were astounding and I would love to wear them all! My favourite look was what Jim Chapman wore:

He wore florals so well and I am sure it will feature in his videos and blogs very soon.

The concept of the show was perfect and so innovative! I hope to see more shows like this in the future.

Enjoy the rest of Milan Fashion Week!

#TBTOFS Hailly London Interview for Oxford Fashion Studio’s London Collections

It was a pleasure to interview Hailly London at London Fashion Week. Check out the interview I conducted with them.

Why have you chosen Oxford fashion studio to showcase your amazing designs?

Hailly London showcased its second collection Darks and shadows in Oxford Fashion Studio’s London fashion week. Team OFS review more than 8,000 designers a year and issue invitations to extraordinary designers with original concepts. Personally, I think it’s a good platform for emerging brands to showcase their collections and interact with buyers, bloggers, press and media. It’s a great pleasure working with OFS.

What was the inspiration behind this collection?

The inspiration for this collection is a saying from one of the most famous novels, “Every villain is a hero of the other side” So thinking about the dual nature in one’s personality, The collection is called as Darks and shadows. Keeping a very simple colour palette- Black and white (neutral colours) and beautiful patterns with fine details in a simple silhouette makes this collection more contemplated and commercially viable.

Who is the target audience for this collection?

Blacks and whites are everyone’s favourite; it can be worn anytime and anywhere. Since this is commercially viable and Must have collection, it reaches to the mass market. Skirts and shorts can be worn on any occasion at the same time it can be worn casually and same with the jackets, overcoats and dresses.

What is your brand ethos?

Our brand ethos is to provide premium quality with exclusive leather designs. We aim the garment to be comfortable and maintain standard quality for end customers.

What have you designed prior to this collection?

This is my second collection on the runway, my first collection was also very successful and also a theme collection, named as “Years of Boldness” inspired by Vintage. We got an amazing and commendable response from end customers.

What made you into the designer that you are today?

I have a passion for my work and love to make something creative. My signature style of design is to play with the patterns and I have a passion for my work and love to make something creative. My signature style of design is to play with the patterns and yokes in the garment and, at the same time, it should be commercially viable. When the fabric is cut nicely and beautifully stitched with fine intricate details, it gives me a great feeling and stipulates me to
grow. I also went for 3 years Fashion course programme in 2011 which shaped my passion into a good and promising career.

What mistakes have you made and what have you learned from them?

Nobody is perfect in the world. I take it as an opportunity to learn from my mistakes.

What other designers do you aspire to be as successful as?

There are many designers who inspire me all the time. One of my very favourite is Alexander McQueen- I love their designs, photography and their creativity.

If you could put your design on any celebrity which would you choose and why?

I will choose Kristen Stewart. She is pretty, smart and talented and looks fab in leather.

When you are asked “what is fashion” what is the first thing that comes to your mind?

Thinking about fashion, the first thing that comes to mind is that it’s a feeling. If you feel happy, confident and you can carry your outfit well, that’s it. Everyone start appreciating you and you feel good about it.

What is your go-to outfit/ what is your signature style?

My signature style is to play with the colours, patterns and yokes in the garment and at the same time, it should be commercially viable.

What is your motivation/inspiration behind your fashion career?

I have an instilled passion for designing from my Mom. She is very hard working & creative person. I have watched her since childhood making new dresses for me and for my sister on occasions.

If you were to start your life over again, would you change anything?

I think I enjoy my life a lot and don’t want to change anything. I love my life and everyone who make me feel special. Thanks to everyone who loves Hailly London design!

London Fashion Week Videos

Disclaimer: All videos found on Youtube – I do not own them!

Enjoy!

When London Opened, it opened with an explosion of creativity. I will not lie, not everything was beautiful, unique or artistic in my eyes but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Please accept my opinions for what they are opinions and please feel free to share your thoughts below as well.

On day one, nothing really grabbed my attention. The designs were nice and there is no denying that, it just wasn’t something that interested me even though I appreciate the time, effort and technique that went into creating these designs.

Day two, for me, is when it all began to get interesting. My favourite designers were Julien Macdonald, Versus Versace and Gareth Pugh. Some of their designs will be featuring later on in my Victoryforu Picks segment.

Day three! The brilliant design of the runway for Anya Hindmarsh’s show was inspired. Topshop Unique has truly done it again creating something that is wearable and still very runway appropriate.  Definitely my favourite day.

Day four had some amazing designers. Huishan Zhang, Burberry and Sophia Webster. I loved the shoes so much!

And finally day five, A brilliant way to end a great fashion week.
