Victoryforu’s top 10 – American Music Awards

Here is a rundown of my favourite AMA looks:

10

Gigi in an off the shoulder lace dress from Roberto Cavalli
Gigi in an off the shoulder lace dress from Roberto Cavalli

This is one of my least favourite of Gigi Hadid’s looks of the night, however, this Roberto Cavalli dress was definitely a brilliant start to a night of amazing outfits from Gigi Hadid.

9

Shawn Mendes always looks cool on the red carpet. This is not the best I have seen him look but I think that they outfit suits his relaxed personality. And besides, he has a whole music career ahead of him to experiment with different shades and textures. Shawn always wears darker colours well, I would just like to see him branch out a bit more.

8

This short and sweet number from Rocsi was an excellent style choice which was also easy for her to move around in and to do what she does best; Present!

7

Gigi in Embellished two-piece from Julien Macdonald - Hailey Baldwin also wore this in his spring 2017 show

Both Julien Macdonald looks were some of my favourites from his Spring 2017 show earlier this year and Gigi absolutely slayed both outfits.

6

Lady Gaga’s simple yet striking white outfit was truly brilliant but nothing in comparison to her voice. Her prior work with Tony Bennett really showcases the power and beauty of her voice.

5

Gigi wearing Atelier Versace whilst doing a Melania Trump impression

This was the dress that everyone left remembering Gigi Hadid in. Why? Because it is so striking. From the colour to the cut, this is a dress that seriously brought the house down.

4

The ever beautiful Karlie Kloss looked effortlessly exquisite. And the hair flick in this video… This is why we call Karlie Kloss a Super Model!

3

I couldn’t decide with these two, I love their outfits from Zuhair Murad equally.

2

Her speech touched my heart and her dress made me smile. Even though this is a simple dress, She wore it with such elegance and such grace that she completely deserves this spot.

And my favourite outfit of the night was…

Hailee Steinfield

Elie Saab has done it again with another sensational design. I love everything about this romper, The colour, The sparkle, The shape, Everything!

Those are my top 10! Do you agree or disagree? Let me know below.

Stylish Christmas Jumpers and More

I was trawling through different fashion websites when I came across this article in Harper’s Bazaar UK – http://www.harpersbazaar.co.uk/christmas/news/g37307/christmas-jumpers-for-women-2016/ and I was inspired by a few of them so much that I had to write something.

Let’s start with Ladies’ Christmas Fashion:

Look 1

Found on Harper’s Bazaar UK Cable-knit sequinned jumper, £1,280, Emilio Pucci at Net-A-Porter

I love the embellishment on this Jumper. This could be worn with pretty much anything! All of the Jumpers could be worn with almost anything. I would style this Caable-knit jumper with Pink Tailored Cigarette trousers, A Leopard Print Coat and Navy Boot from Topshop.

How to wear: Camouflage Trend

Contrary to the name, the camouflage trend is more about standing out than blending in. I enjoy playing around with militant tones and street style to create something aesthetically pleasing.

20161105_144527.jpg

The base of this look is a khaki PU spliced T-shirt of side zips from Boohoo Man. It was quite a versatile piece that is better to wear in the winter as the PU panel can keep you quite warm.

20161105_144603.jpg

The khaki Utility sleeveless shirt from Forever 21 Men creates the perfect layer. I simply did the top button up and added my diamanté collar clips from Topman. This small detail adds a different dimension to this outfit.

The key to getting a creative camouflage look is making sure the colours are similar but not the same. This adds some multi-tonality. The camouflage print cargo joggers from Forever 21 Men contrast well with my grey high tops from M&M direct.

Accessorising an outfit is extremely important!

My black ring and chain bracelet pick up on the darker tones of the outfit. The silver rim of my sunglasses picks up the grey of the shoes. And the orange of the snap back adds a touch of neon.

This is a simple outfit to recreate and I hope when you recreate it, you’ll add your own unique features to it.

My Oxford Fashion Week Bloggers Party Experience

Oxford Fashion Studio put on yet another great season in New York, London, Paris and Oxford. If you weren’t there, you truly missed out on an unforgettable experience.

On 19th October 2016 at The House Bar, I presented Three looks at the Oxford Fashion Week’s Bloggers Party. It truly was a celebration of the new Generation of bloggers featuring Nateisha Monique, Delilah Elise and I.

Look 1 – Shaunna

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Shaunna’s look was a different take on the concept of an LBD – Little Black Dress. With the addition of the thick hooded black coat, The black dress could be worn to work as a piece of work wear. However, when you add the Rainbow and Spoon Black, White and Pink fur gilet, it makes it a playful outfit to be worn in the evening. I wanted this look to be wearable from day to night with only a slight change in makeup to make that transition.

This look is extremely easy to recreate, Just head to the Rainbow and Spoon Boutique 22 Park End Street , Oxford, OX1 1HU for more gems like this.

Look 2 – Sebastian

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Sebastian’s look was heavily inspired by my personal style and the Metallic and Camouflage trends.  The majority of this outfit is from Forever 21 Men, somewhere that I shop regularly.  As you may know from my Instagram and Snapchat, I love wearing oversized and longline clothes because I think it gives a really interesting and urban silhouette.

The base of this look is an Extreme Longline Crew Neck T-Shirt from Boohoo Man, it is a versatile piece that can be worn with pretty much anything. Layering the Sleeveless Fitted Utility shirt from Forever 21 on top of the T-shirt adds dimension and I decided to only do up the top button and leave it open to create diagonal lines that juxtapose the diagonal lines of the Silver Faux Leather Moto Jacket that is also from Forever 21. To finish of this urban look, I added some Faux Leather Moto Joggers and Diamante Collar Clips (No longer sold) to add a bit of luxury to the outfit. Each of the individual pieces of apparel work on their own and work best when they are used as layers to an outfit.

Look 3 –  Natasha

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Natasha’s look was a slight homage to the 80’s with the oversized Leopard print sleeved sweatshirt from Forever 21 Men. I would recommend getting it in a larger size if you like the oversized fit. Natasha brought her own Jeans and shoes that completely fitted my vision and the Black Faux Fur coat is actually my Mum’s. The Choker she is wearing is from Topshop and the rose gold colour really complemented the leopard print.

My Look

I am extremely proud of my look also. The shirt I have on is the very first (And certainly not the last) Victoyforu Shirt. I enjoyed playing with this palette of white because it creates quite a sharp look and with the small additions of the red shoes and the purple Victoryforu Logo add the necessary colour that this outfit needed.

Thank you so much to everyone!

Oxford Fashion Week: Bloggers Preview Party (Part one)

When I arrived at the Jam Factory in Oxford, the room was
absolutely electric and the Bloggers preview was in the Boiler Room Gallery.
The Jam Factory itself is a hustling, bustling place of interesting culture
which completely embodied what Oxford Fashion Week is about.

Whilst I waited to go into the Preview, I faced a beautiful
painting of a field of purple flowers by Elena Henshaw, I was sat next to a
bunch of guys who were beer testing and I am pretty sure I heard French,
German, Polish and Italian with my first 4 seconds of being in the room. It was
a fabulous environment to be in.

I even ran into the lovely Natalie Woodward who looked
completely amazing as usual and she was sweet enough to sit down and do an
interview with me:

Interview with Natalie Woodward

What has been your favourite part of the Oxford Fashion
Studio Season so far?

Oh, That’s a big question, I think walking in Paris at Les
Salons Hoche, that was absolutely stunning, all of the collections were
exquisite, the venue was gorgeous, the makeup and hair looked really well
suited to all of the looks, so yeah, I think that is my favourite part.
Although saying that, Tomorrow’s talk with Clive Arrowsmith, I am so excited to
hear him speak.

What are you excited about for Oxford Fashion Week?

We are walking in the Ashmolean, which in itself is a gorgeous
venue, but to be in the sculpture gallery, I think it will be an absolutely
incredible backdrop, walking in between the sculptures, the audiences will be
sat in those sort of segments and I think that it’s going to be amazing. It
will be very exciting!

What’s your favourite part about being a model within Oxford
Fashion Week? (I asked as she saw herself in the Oxford Fashion Studio video
from Paris)

Sorry, I just saw me again, I think just the opportunity to
be walking for these new and up and coming designers, because I am a young
model myself so to be working with people that are also young in the industry
who have that passion and drive, It’s something that is really unique to the
oxford fashion studio company. So that’s my favourite part about it, and they
also have such incredibly young and fresh creations which is just really great
to see altogether.

I got to do so many lovely interviews with so many different
people which I will share with you all in due time.
