Last season in New York, Oxford Fashion Studio opened in such a bold way. I will be running through my favourite fashion moments of NYFW.
Starting with Sabina Saga, (Below) her SS17 Dynasty collection was absolutely show-stopping.
In an Instagram post, Sabina Saga wrote about her latest collection:
“I am so happy to announce the official release of my new collection inspired by my Ethnic Roots, made in honor of the country where I was born-Kazakhstan. This is a great honor, but also a huge responsibility to represent my Homeland at international contests. Thanks everyone for the love and support! ❤️”
Sabina Saga’s talent, passion and sheer creativity makes her designs even more captivating. Her use of 3D printing is highly commendable and I look forward to seeing more of her work in the future.
I loved writing for Urban Zulu but most of all, I love what they stand for.
In the interview I conducted with Papy Kaluw, he said:

And lastly one of my favourites was Deanna Michel!

It was a pleasure to be able to interview Deanna M. Laster who creates sophisticated and minimalist designs.
Deanna described the Deanna Michel Woman as:
I am extremely excited to see what Oxford Fashion Studio has to offer this season.

Oxford Fashion Studio is returning for the AW 2017 season and it is coming back with a bang! If you can remember from September-October 2016, there was a plethora of talent all over the world in New York, London, Paris and Oxford. I got the chance to interview Papy Kaluw of Urban Zulu, Olli Turunen of Vejits and Deanna Michel Boutique. I also got to see the amazing design work of Sabina Saga, Hailly London, John Herrera and Dylan and Izzy.
Who are Dylan and Izzy, I hear you asking? Only the best new talent to grace the Oxford Fashion Week runway and the rookies who were on yesterday’s episode of All Over the Workplace on CBBC. The show depicts Alex Riley taking Dylan and Izzy on a journey to experience what it really takes to become a fashion designer and have their work showcased. But don’t just take my word for it, Click here to be taken Iplayer to watch it!
Also last season, I got the chance to show off my styling skills at the Bloggers Party.
There is so much to look forward to this season with just under a fortnight to go kicking off in New York, then London, Then Paris and, finally, Oxford. I hope to be going to both London and Oxford so watch this space for more blog posts and vlogs.
Here is what the New YorSchedulele looks like on 11th February:

With 90’s inspired pieces, Topman Design brought us a brilliant way to dress for the upcoming summer festivals with neon rain macs and athleisure.

The fashion show of the future. Alongside Dolce and Gabbana’s Millenials campaign, In Milan they had the same Millenials walk in the show. The outfits they wore were fabulous!
Balmain is one of those shows that I always – without fail – anticipate. Olivier Rousteing always out does himself every season and this season is no exception.
There have been so many amazing moments that would take forever to write about them all. So I decided to put them all in a Pinterest board for you to look at and admire them as much as I do.

Whilst I was in LA, I met some amazing people. One of those amazing people was Lori Kerbs from Tempt Brands.
Tempt Brands are an amazing Canadian brand that aim to be trendsetters. They strongly believe in building your perfect wardrobe with the brands that you love. They also aim to get you the best deal possible. Who doesn’t love a bargain?
Tempt works with the brand themselves to bring you the latest trends at the right prices.
It was a pleasure to meet Lori from Tempt and also receive the sunglasses that I am seen wearing above from Street Affaires.
The GBK event was absolutely amazing and so was LA. Such a beautiful and diverse (in race, wealth and food too) place to visit and I would recommend it to anyone.
Make sure you check out the Tempt Brands website to get some amazing clothing, jewellery and gifts. And also check out their socials on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Starting off with a designer who I have personally never heard of before or seen his work but I must say it is something that I would like to see again. Facetasm designer, Hiromichi Ochiai, chose models that were vastly culturally diverse which is highly commendable and all looked great in the designs they were placed in. However, Vogue still correctly stated:
“The industry still has a way to go in regard to equal catwalk representation.”
– Vogue Runway

He opened his Fall 2017 show with hoodies and sweatpants that had a train that added the punch of uniqueness to the look. Ochiai was heavily influenced by where he comes from, Tokyo (Side note: A place that I would love to visit), where he says “anything goes” which reflected throughout the collection.

Even though the collection looked like it was all street style and it would be easily wearable with puffer jacket material, it was extremely unorthodox with both Male and Female pieces. There are many pieces within each look that would be easy to wear but the whole ensemble definitely deserves to be on the Runway.
Demna Gvasal used simple suits and classic styles and re-imagined them.
Off-white, Rick Owens, Louis Vuitton, Yohji Yamamoto and so many others.
