Men’s Fashion Week Favourites

This season of Men’s fashion weeks have almost come to an end – with New York to come from 30th January- 2nd February – so I wanted to have a look back at the best moments of Mens Fashion from this season.

Topman Design

With 90’s inspired pieces, Topman Design brought us a brilliant way to dress for the upcoming summer festivals with neon rain macs and athleisure.

Dolce and Gabbana

dg-millenials-ensemble

The fashion show of the future. Alongside Dolce and Gabbana’s Millenials campaign, In Milan they had the same Millenials walk in the show. The outfits they wore were fabulous!

Balmain

Balmain is one of those shows that I always – without fail – anticipate. Olivier Rousteing always out does himself every season and this season is no exception.

There have been so many amazing moments that would take forever to write about them all.  So I decided to put them all in a Pinterest board for you to look at and admire them as much as I do.

My favourite part of MFW so far : Dolce & Fabbana FW 17/18 Men’s show

So many amazing looks at last night’s Dolce show. I am in awe of the amazing artistry, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are true fashion legends and I commend them on choosing to work with the influencers who are shaping our digital generation. I will be showing you my favourite male looks below and telling you why this was such an innovative show.

The afterparty was also amazing as you can see by the visuals above!

Personally, Jim Chapman's look was my favourite. Why? It is so bright and so floral yet still so masculine. The co-ords could be worn separately or together. And the simple black jacket added the needed calm note to the look. By far my favourite!

From his Victorious days and playing King Tut, Avan Jogia has always had an air of regality. I love the kingly features of the jacket and the exquisite prints.

Once a young boy who's father was part of one of Hip-Hop's super-group Run-DMC, now, he is an actor and music artist who is taking the world by storm. The floral details of his outfit was absolutely flawless.

Chinese star XueDong Chen - I love this military style jacket and I hope one day to wear this.

The man of the moment -Cameron Dallas - opened the show and wore the crown to end the show proving that he really is the digital king. His deep purple suit is both eccentric and simplistic perfect for a man who wants to be seen but not stared at.

The Mexican social genius. I am never usually a lover of the colour brown, however, this just works!

The owner of SMF-Blog - Elias El-Indari - has taken the middle east by storm with his Men's fashion and lifestyle blog. Elias look crazy sophisticated and this is definitely a look I'd wear in a heartbeat.

Gogoboi - or Ye Si - is best known for his presence on China's biggest social media Weibo. He is one of the most influential fashion bloggers in China. Gogoboi's street-style vibes along with his fluffy leopard print hoodie is a complete show stopper.

Tinie Tempah knows what 'Girls Like' and they will definitely love this look. As well as being a rap superstar, he recently embarked on his fashion journey at London Fashion Week Men's were he showed his collection, What We Wear.

And last but never least, Lucky Blue Smith. The young veteran of the modelling industry completely dominated the runway in this monochrome suit that accentuated his signature hair.

Now there are so many other looks by Josh Cuthbert, YiLu Sheng, Marcus Butler, Neels Visser, Presley Gerber and many more that I loved but these are the ones I have chosen to show.

I hope you enjoyed watching it live and if you missed it, head to the top of the page to watch the video.

P.S. I hope that there has been a vast range showing all cultures and races show in the Dolce and Gabbana show. I was reminded about the importance of representation when I saw a post by Edward Zo a few days ago.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BPLlgt6BYGK/?taken-by=edwardzo

Reading this shook me as I admire Steve Harvey. I researched it and it turned about to be true. What he said should not be tolerated. We need more education and representation for everyone to not judge someone based on their skin colour or how they look.

I want to dedicate this post to everyone who has ever been made to feel small or insignificant because of your gender, race or culture. I want to tell you that you are beautiful, God loves you and that you deserve to have a voice. God bless!

Did you see the Dolce and Gabbana Fall-Winter 17/18 Men’s Show?

One of the most extraordinary shows I have seen live-streamed for a long time.

The DG Princes and Princesses rocked the house along with Austin Mahone.

Mahone’s voice was not the only thing that rocked the house, his Dolce suit was the start of a grand show.

Prince Cameron Dallas opened the show. The best part about the experience was the fact that each person was asked what they wanted to wear, not just instructed on what to wear.

The ladies shone just as brightly as the fellas did.

All of the looks were astounding and I would love to wear them all! My favourite look was what Jim Chapman wore:

He wore florals so well and I am sure it will feature in his videos and blogs very soon.

The concept of the show was perfect and so innovative! I hope to see more shows like this in the future.

Enjoy the rest of Milan Fashion Week!

Congratulations Boys – Go and Kill it in Milan!

Internet Superstar Cameron Dallas, Menswear Vlogger extraordinaire, Jim Chapman and YouTube funny man, Marcus Butler will all be walking in tomorrow’s Dolce and Gabbana show.

This is a HUGE deal!

This fantastic trio will be walking alongside some of the Male Supermodels who are ruling the scene. If you haven’t at least heard of their names, you definitely will do by tomorrow!

This is by far my favourite picture of Cameron. The blue light along with the sensational suit is a perfect combination. Also, Congratulations to Cameron Dallas for Chasing Cameron!

London fashion week Men’s recap and highlights

So London Fashion Week Men’s is over – I know I a few days behind, I didn’t realise how much Jet Lag would affect me. Obviously, I did not enjoy every last piece shown at LFWM, however, I enjoyed the way that menswear is changing and is getting brighter and more innovative.

I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Next up is Milano Moda Uomo FW 17/18 (Milan Fashion Week Men’s) starts today on 13th January through till Tuesday 17th January showcasing more of the best in men’s fashion.

Stylish Christmas Jumpers and More

I was trawling through different fashion websites when I came across this article in Harper’s Bazaar UK – http://www.harpersbazaar.co.uk/christmas/news/g37307/christmas-jumpers-for-women-2016/ and I was inspired by a few of them so much that I had to write something.

Let’s start with Ladies’ Christmas Fashion:

Look 1

Found on Harper’s Bazaar UK Cable-knit sequinned jumper, £1,280, Emilio Pucci at Net-A-Porter

I love the embellishment on this Jumper. This could be worn with pretty much anything! All of the Jumpers could be worn with almost anything. I would style this Caable-knit jumper with Pink Tailored Cigarette trousers, A Leopard Print Coat and Navy Boot from Topshop.

This slightly athletic Jolly Jumper would look great with a Gold Metallic Pleat Skirt From Topshop, Navy Blue Short Faux Fur Jacket from Zara and a Gold Chelsea Boot from River Island.

A slightly more traditional Christmas Jumper look can be taken to the next level with a Punky Check Kilt style skirt from Topshop, an Ecru belted Waistcoat from Zara, Black Velvet leggings and Black velvet embroidered over-the-knee boots from River Island.

I hope you like these looks and you now have all of the resources to recreate these looks.

How to wear: Camouflage Trend

Contrary to the name, the camouflage trend is more about standing out than blending in. I enjoy playing around with militant tones and street style to create something aesthetically pleasing.

20161105_144527.jpg

The base of this look is a khaki PU spliced T-shirt of side zips from Boohoo Man. It was quite a versatile piece that is better to wear in the winter as the PU panel can keep you quite warm.

20161105_144603.jpg

The khaki Utility sleeveless shirt from Forever 21 Men creates the perfect layer. I simply did the top button up and added my diamanté collar clips from Topman. This small detail adds a different dimension to this outfit.

The key to getting a creative camouflage look is making sure the colours are similar but not the same. This adds some multi-tonality. The camouflage print cargo joggers from Forever 21 Men contrast well with my grey high tops from M&M direct.

Accessorising an outfit is extremely important!

My black ring and chain bracelet pick up on the darker tones of the outfit. The silver rim of my sunglasses picks up the grey of the shoes. And the orange of the snap back adds a touch of neon.

This is a simple outfit to recreate and I hope when you recreate it, you’ll add your own unique features to it.
